ENERGY CONSUMPTION

Dehumidifier efficiency is rated by an uni energy factor. Energy Star uses liters of water removed per kilowatt hour of electricity used (L/kWh) to rate dehumidifiers. When comparing dehumidifiers, look for the higher energy factor.

BIGGER IS BETTER


Large capacity dehumidifiers are more energy efficient. To qualify for the Energy Star mark, dehumidifiers with capacities larger than 75 pints per day and must have an energy factor that removes 30% more water per kilowatt hour.
